SCOPE: the health humanities learning lab

I’m pleased to be a part of the development and launch of SCOPE, a creative and inventive health humanities learning lab developed by Dr. Andrea Charise at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.

I’m one of the graduate researchers: my current interests in the health humanities build on my PhD research – the “production of presence” – to look at how first-person narratives of the experiences of diseases and illnesses posted online by women of colour can play a role in the delivery of personalised medicine (I’ve presented on this previously, here).

In addition, I designed SCOPE’s logo and brand mark, a welcomed opportunity to use my training in graphic design. The illustrations were done by the extremely talented April Brust.
